Concert for Haiti Saturday

Jan. 11, 2011 - 17:44 By Paul Kerry
A benefit concert for Haiti will take place Saturday night at Club Spot across from Hongdae Park in Seoul.

Taking place from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., One Hundred for Haiti Seoul will feature performances by nine local punk rock bands. Set to play are: The Geeks, Things We Say, ...Whatever That Means, Burn My Bridges, No Excuse, Warpath, Dokkebi Assault, Find The Spot and Shellback.

One Hundred for Haiti Seoul’s proceeds will go to One Hundred for Haiti, a series of concerts taking place worldwide to raise money for the beleaguered Caribbean nation, still suffering from the effects of last January’s earthquake and subsequent cholera epidemic.

Tickets at the door will cost 10,000 won. The goal of the worldwide One Hundred for Haiti effort is to raise $100,000 for the medical care of Haitians affected by the disasters of the past year.

For more information on the concert, search “One Hundred for Haiti Seoul” on Facebook. To learn more on the worldwide concert series, visit www.onehundredforhaiti.org/.
