A British family reportedly stands accused of attempting to kill their 89-year-old grandfather.
The mother, her two daughters, son and his girlfriend stood trial on Tuesday for conspiring and savagely attacking him for inheritance in November.
Police found Google searches on their computers including the “easiest way to kill an old person,” “can you kill someone with a punch” and “1,000 ways to die.”
The family followed a plan in which the mother pretended to fall at the side gate, and then the girlfriend alerted the victim of his daughter’s “accident.” Once he came to check on her, two of the children battered him with bricks wrapped in plastic.
One of the girls, age 15, called the police saying that her grandfather fell and hit his head. The paramedics soon realized her claim was false based on the bruises and gashes on his head, neck and face.
Another of the children, age 13, said that her mother provided the bricks and also heard their mother and brother discussing possible murder plans.
