South Korean singer Kim Heung-guk was booked without physical detention Friday for drunk driving.
According to Gangnam Police Station, Kim was pulled over at 12:13 a.m. for driving under the influence of alcohol. Kim’s blood alcohol content level reportedly was 0.071 percent, which is enough to have his driver’s license suspended for 100 days.
Kim admitted the charges and apologized to the public for the incident. A person close to the singer said that Kim wished to apologize especially to his daughter, with whom he had promised never to drink again.
Kim debuted in 1985 and is most well-known for his 1989 smash hit “Ho-rang-nabi (Swallowtail Butterfly). He is also famous for his work as a TV personality.
