BTS has become the first Koreans to boast 10 million followers on Twitter, its Seoul unit said Monday.
"BTS has hit 10 million followers on Twitter, a first for a Korean account," Twitter Korea said. The social media service posted a short video titled "The incredible rise of K-pop superstars BTS."
BTS, the popular boy group also known as Bangtan Boys, surpassed the 10 million milestone at 11:15 a.m., four years and 11 months after uploading the first post on Dec. 17, 2012.

BTS members uploaded selfies to express thanks as fans celebrated the occasion.
Also on Monday, the music video for the group's track "Danger" surpassed 100 million YouTube views as of 4:46 p.m. "Danger" is the title track off the group's first full-length album titled "Dark & Wild" out in August 2014.
It became the ninth BTS music video to exceed the 100 million mark. Two of the nine videos -- "Dope" and "Fire" -- have garnered more than 200 million views. (Yonhap)
