Car crashes into Hyundai Motor building

An SUV crashed into the front doors of Hyundai Motor’s headquarters in Seoul on Friday, about an hour before the carmaker’s annual shareholders meeting, according to witnesses.

The Hyundai-made Sante Fe car drove into the front glass doors of the building at around 8 a.m.

No injuries were reported. The driver, whose identify has yet to be confirmed, is now in police custody, company officials said.

Some reports said the driver was an employee at one of Hyundai’s Korean plants. Officials have yet to confirm why he crashed the car.
