A U.S. weather woman demonstrated on a live TV show why meteorologists never wear green.

Wearing a green dress to show why the color is avoided on TV, FOX 2’s Jessica Starr appeared to disappear into the weather map in the background, leaving just her arms and face visible.
The effect was caused by chroma key, also known as a green screen.
The technique is used for layering two images or video streams together to remove the background from the subject of a photo or video.
During the show, one of the hosts laughed and said: “This is why meteorologists don’t wear green.”
“This is the one color we can’t wear. It‘s a cute dress and I could not wear it because of the green screen,” Starr said.
