Singapore Airlines appoints new Korean general manager

Singapore Airlines has appointed Seah Chee Chian as the new general manager for its Korean branch, the airline announced Monday.

After joining Singapore Airlines in 2008 as a technical services engineer, Chian rose through the ranks as a direct sales executive and regional marketing manager for Southeast Asia. His most recent post was manager of Singapore Airlines‘ Southern Indian business, a post he served for two years starting in 2014.

At his previous positions, Chian was responsible for implementing e-commerce projects and overseeing regional sales and operations.

Through an official statement, the airline said that it anticipated general director Seah Chee Chian to contribute to “further growth and service development to the Korean market” with the expertise he cultivated through his various roles at Singapore Airlines’ head office and overseas branches.
