KARA bloom at album showcase

Sept. 3, 2013 - 19:55 By Korea Herald
Girl group KARA held a showcase performance for their fourth studio album “Full Bloom” at UNIQLO-AX Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul, Monday.

Dressed in revealing all-black outfits, the members kicked off the showcase with the title track for the album, “Damaged Lady,” which came one year after the release of their third album “Pandora.”

Composed by Sweet Tune, the song is a mixture of French pop and rock, and tells the story of a woman facing a breakup.

KARA released a teaser image in early August showing each of the five members dressed in suits and wearing shorter hairstyles with a more androgynous look, but on the day of the showcase the members wore slightly more feminine pant suits.

Asked why the group went for a more masculine look at a press conference following the performance, Park Gyu-ri said, “We wanted to show the public a new side to KARA. We’ve come out with cute and sexy concepts, but we wanted to show a sexy, different side to the group and so came up with a more androgynous look.”
