Applications for Korea’s two main language proficiency tests open in early June.
Applications for the Test of Proficiency in Korean, taken at universities across the country, are open June 12-25.
The TOPIK is available in three levels, with beginner and advanced in the morning and intermediate in the afternoon. The exam will be available in Korea on July 22.
Applications to take the Korean Language Ability Test ― formerly known as the Korean Language Proficiency Test ― open June 1-14.
To apply, visit www.topik.go.kr. Tests cost 40,000 won, payable before the application date closes.
The test is computer-based and available in two levels ― standard and basic.
The international tests are available July 7-8 and the Korea-based one on July 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29.
The times of the test depend on location, with the earliest in Korea being in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province from 9:30-11:20.
