Buddhist group offers free Korean classes

The Korean Buddhist Cheontae Order and the Global Culture Exchange Forum are offering a free Korean language course for beginners.

The class targets international students or foreigners who have little or no Korean language ability.

The course lasts 12 weeks and will also cover the comprehension of Korean culture, daily customs and Korean Buddhist culture.

Classes run every Monday and Friday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Cheontae Culture Center at the SK Hub Building in Jongno, Seoul, from Oct. 8 to Dec. 27.

There are 30 places available on a first-come, first-served basis.
