BTS’ Jungkook has been nominated in four categories at this year's People’s Choice Awards, a record-breaking feat for a K-pop soloist.
The list of nominees for the 2024 People’s Choice Awards unveiled on Thursday showed Jungkook was nominated for the Male Artist of the Year, the Pop Artist of the Year, the New Artist of the Year and the Collaboration Song of the Year awards.
The People’s Choice Awards is a US awards show that began in 1975 to recognize people in the entertainment industry. The awards are voted for online by the general public and fans.
This year's winners will be announced Feb. 18 via NBC, E! and the streaming service Peacock.
Jungkook is the only male nominee in the Pop Artist of the Year category. The other nominees in the category are Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Tate McRae and Taylor Swift.
Jungkook made his official solo debut with the single “Seven (feat. Latto)” in July 2023.
The single became a worldwide mega-hit song topping Billboard’s Hot 100, landing at No. 3 on the UK’s Official Single Chart Top 100 and being streamed over billion times on Spotify in just 108 days of its release.
Jungkook previously won the Collaboration Song of the Year at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards, featuring in Charlie Puth's "Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)."
