Yeoksam Global Village Center is running a special Christmas volunteer day at St. Mary’s Hospital in Gangnam on Saturday.

Volunteers will put together a special celebration with fun activities for the patients at the hospital from 10 a.m. to noon.

The center has been volunteering at St. Mary’s Hospital since March 2010, and is seeking up to 50 participants for the event.

The center will also run a cooking class this Friday on how to cook two Korean dishes ― dak bokkeumtang, a spicy chicken stew also commonly known as dak dori tang, and gamjajeon, a type of potato pancake with dipping sauces.

The class runs from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and costs 5,000 won. 18 spaces are available. To reserve a spot for either event, contact yeoksam@sba.seoul.kr with your name, nationality and mobile phone number or call 02-3453-9038~9.
