Actress Koo Hye-sun has been invited to showcase her paintings at an art fair in Hong Kong in May.

Koo is the second Korean celebrity artist to have been invited to the art event following actor and artist Ha Jung-woo last year.

Koo held her first exhibition in 2009 in Seoul and has been active in the field ever since.

At Hong Kong Contemporary, she is expected to showcase 10 to 15 pieces including her new self-portrait.

Though her main focus in on acting, the actress is well known for exploring various creative and artistic genres, including singing, painting, writing and directing movies.

Her recent movie “The Peach Tree” was invited to the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival last year.

Hong Kong Contemporary is held along with the prestigious Hong Kong International Art Fair and Christie’s Auction during Hong Kong Art week in May.
