The Korea Tourism Organization and CJ Donors Camp, CJ Group’s charity organization, have launched summer camps for children from multicultural families and underprivileged children as part of a joint effort to spread a new charity culture through travel.
The KTO and CJ Donors Camp will conduct three camps in August on Anmyeon Island, Namhae, from Aug. 7-9, Aug. 9-11 and Aug. 14-16 and offer a variety of programs including hands-on experience with marine life and sports activities such as rafting and trekking.
About 400 children, selected from 22 study organizations supported by CJ Donors Camp, will participate in the camp.
The KTO and CJ Donors Camp signed an MOU last July to promote a new charity culture by having citizens participate in organizing travel and summer camps for underprivileged children.
The public can make donations to the program by completing a simple online survey or recommend places for summer camps at the websites of KTO, at www.visitkorea.or.kr, and CJ Donors Camp, at www.donorscamp.org/funcamp. The donation campaign will continue through Aug. 15.
