“Tazza: The High Rollers 2” has maintained its top box office position and will soon break 3 million viewers.
According to the Korean Film Council on Sunday, the movie had 200,000 viewers on Saturday alone, nearing a grand total of 3 million viewers as it tops the box office.
“Tazza 2” has broken 3 million viewers within 11 days of its release which is amazing, considering that the movie was only for adults, officials said.
Six million viewers saw the precursor to the movie, “Tazza: The High Rollers” and after the Chuseok holidays, “Tazza 2” is set to exceed the previous film’s record.
The movie tells the story of Dae-gil, a young man with a natural-born talent in gambling. He is also a nephew of the prequel’s main character, Goni. “Tazza: The High Rollers 2,” starring Choi Seung-hyun, Shin Se-kyung, and Lee Ha-nui, opened in theaters on Sept. 3.
