Swedish skiing icon Anja Parson visited the Yeosu Expo to support kids’ efforts to raise cash for WaterAid this Sunday.

The Olympic gold medalist made a speech at the U.N. pavilion and encouraged children to carry buckets of water to raise cash for the international non-governmental organization working to improve access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest communities.

At the event, Parson called for people around the world to share knowledge and experience to safeguard clean water for future generations.

About 300 children took part in carrying 250 buckets between the Swedish and the U.N. pavilions.

Swedish fashion retailer H&M sponsored their efforts to the sum of 10 million won. The clothing store has been cooperating with WaterAid since 2002, when H&M created a beachwear collection to generate donations toward WaterAid’s projects in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
