Stocks open slightly higher on overnight US gains

South Korean stocks opened slightly higher Thursday, taking a cue from overnight gains on Wall Street. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index climbed 2.70 points, or 0.11 percent, to 2,485.61 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
