Telcos to be forced to share real-time outage information

The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman has welcomed the findings of a government review into last year's Optus outage. The breakdown affected millions of customers including thousands of people who couldn't make triple-zero calls. The report has made 18 recommendations, including setting up a new body to ensure the triple-zero system is functioning.
