Darwin author Leonie Norrington has used her memories of growing up in a remote Aboriginal community as the inspiration for a popular series of children's books. Those stories about the Barrumbi kids will soon reach a new audience after NITV commissioned a television series that'll run later this year. Dianne Kind produced this story as part of ABC Darwin's "Born and Bred" series which celebrates the work of remarkable Territorians.
