SBS’s rom-com series “It’s Okay, That’s Love” is the most popular Korean drama on Chinese video portals Todou and Youku, the broadcaster said Tuesday.
Starring Gong and actor Jo In-sung, “It’s Okay, That’s Love” portrays the love story between a crime novelist and a cold, chic psychiatrist. The Korean drama has been aired simultaneously in Korea and China since July 23.
As of 3 p.m. on July 24, the drama had about 1.2 million hits on Youku and 1 million hits on Tudou, signaling the rise of “It’s Okay, That’s Love” in China.
The Wednesday-Thursday rom-com has topped the K-drama charts in Youku and placed the 12th most popular among all content uploaded on Youku.
“In Todou, (‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’) has 5 times more hits than the other recently aired Korean dramas,” SBS stated.
