Uhm Jung-hwa had Thyroid cancer op

Singer and actress Uhm Jung-hwa had a thyroid cancer operation last May, her agency has revealed.

Uhm Jung-hwa, currently a judge for “Superstar K2” -- cable channel Mnet’s version of “American Idol” -- has kept working despite the operation that took place at a hospital in Seoul.

According to Sim Entertainment, Uhm Jung-hwa’s agency, the multi-talented entertainer has now almost recovered from the surgery.

A close relation of the agency said, “Uhm Jung-hwa will soon fully recover and will continue to show her commitment to her schedule and work.”
