Korean, Chinese project managers expand ties

June 3, 2016 - 15:23 By Korea Herald
The Korean unit of the International Project Management Association said Friday that it has agreed with the China Project Management Education Union to promote project management research between the two sides.

The agreement calls for the establishment of the Global Project Institute as a platform for joint research and academic exchanges in cross-border project management.

The GPI will invite universities that have partnerships with IPMA Korea and CPMEU as its initial members, and plans to expand by including other universities around the world.

“By creating a network of specialists from the government and academia, the association will strive to develop and offer original project management models,” said IPMA Korea president Cho Won-dong in a press statement.

IPMA Korea was established last April under the wing of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy to support government agencies and academic institutions in promoting sustainable projects.
