Hanjin Group chairman Cho Yang-ho was reelected on Thursday to serve on a board and strategy committee of the International Air Transport Association, Hanjin’s subsidiary Korean Air said Friday.
The association held its annual meeting in Dublin, Ireland on Thursday local time, and announced that Cho will continue to serve on the IATA board of governors and its strategy and policy committee for the next three years.

This marks his eighth term on the IATA governors’ board since he was first elected in 1996, and his second term on the strategy committee, according to Korean Air.
The IATA’s board of governors is made up of 31 chief executives of global airliners, with the committee consisting of 11 governors.
Established in 1945, the IATA, the world’s largest airline association, has 264 members from 117 countries.
