Chadwick to hold open house for 2015-16 school year

Oct. 16, 2014 - 18:02 By Yoon Min-sik
Chadwick International will hold information sessions and an open house for the 2015-16 school year next Thursday, school officials said.

The sessions will provide information on its curriculum along with a campus tour for prospective students and their parents. Students of all grades will be invited to the campus, located in Songdo, Incheon, to learn about the school.

A session for pre-kindergarten to fifth grade students will be held at 10 a.m. while a separate session for older students -- who will be entering sixth to 12th grade -- will be held at 2 p.m. Additional information sessions will be hosted at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas on Nov. 7 and on the campus on Nov. 22.

During the final part of the open house, students and parents will be treated to a sample class to learn what it is like to attend the school.

“Since its opening in 2010, Chadwick International expanded the perspective of our students and their parents on the wonderful world of opportunities that await them as global citizens,” said Charles Sachs, the head of school at Chadwick International. “The information session and open houses will enable the prospective students to experience our research-based, student-centered learning environment.”

Those wishing to sign up can do so at the school’s website (www.chadwickinternational.org). The admissions process involves an application, written tests (reading comprehension, language usage, mathematics, and English oral and written skills), and an interview.

Chadwick International, the second campus of Chadwick School, founded in California by Margaret Lee Chadwick, hosts over 870 students and focuses on the International Baccalaureate program. Its first batch of students will graduate in 2016.
