짐바브웨 카리바를 지나던 사자가 알몸으로 성관계를 하던 커플을 덮쳐 여자가 죽는 참극이 발생했다.
지난 10일 영국 텔레그라프는 "짐바브웨 카리바 북쪽 마을의 한적한 곳에서 남자친구와 사랑을 나누던 43세의 샤라이 마웨르가 사자의 습격으로 지난 4일 사망했다"고 보도했다.
보도 내용에 따르면 사자는 사랑을 나누던 커플의 뒤를 급습해 샤라이를 공격하기 시작했으며 그녀의 남자 친구는 알몸으로 도망쳐 목숨을 건졌다.
신고를 받고 출동한 짐바브웨 경찰과 프로사냥꾼이 사자를 향해 총을 쏘고 사건이 일단락됐다.
샤라이는 목과 위장 등에 심한 열상을 입고 병원으로 후송됐으나 4일 사망했다.

A woman was reportedly attacked by a lion while making love to her boyfriend in a deserted area in Zimbabwe.
A lion attacked Sharai Mawera and an unidentified male while they were having sex, mauling the woman to death, a local news outlet reported.
The Telegraph reported that the man managed to escape naked, stopping at a distance to look back and witness his girlfriend being attacked before rushing to the road to seek help, citing a friend of the couple.
“The lion came from behind and roared,” the friend was quoted as saying.
The man notified police who, along with officials from the Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authority, accompanied him to the scene where they allegedly found the woman’s remains.
She had been mauled in the neck and stomach, and was covered in blood and bruises, according to the U.K. daily.
The wild lion population has decreased in Africa over the past decades, but lion attacks take place from time to time. In Tanzania alone, lions have killed 100 people a year, according to the Smithsonian.
