The KT Wiz, the newest member of the top domestic baseball league, on Thursday unveiled their uniforms and logos.

The Wiz, which will join the Korea Baseball Organization in 2015, came up with different logos for their home and road uniforms, claiming to be the first team in the league to do so.

The home uniform, white shirt and white pants, features the team name, KT Wiz, written across the chest in red, the team’s primary color. The home cap has the red logo, depicting the image of a red-faced wizard in a black hat and a spark for an eye.

The away shirt, colored black, has the interlocking letters “K” and “W” in white on the left chest. The same logo is featured on the away cap.

The Wiz said they wanted to highlight the image of wizards and their spells, after the nickname of the team.

The Wiz received the KBO’s approval as the league’s 10th club in January this year. They will spend the 2014 season in the Futures League, the KBO’s equivalent of the minor league, before entering the KBO in 2015.

Their hometown, Suwon, was once the home of the now-defunct Hyundai Unicorns from 2000 to 2007. (Yonhap News)
