Upcoming new girl group AOA is set to represent Korea at Singapore’s “Sundown Festival 2013” on Nov. 16.
AOA, which stands for Ace of Angels, consists of eight members: Choa, Jimin, Yuna, Youkyung, Hyejeong, Mina, Seolhyun, and Chanmi. The group also includes a sub-unit, AOA Black, where five of the eight members play instruments instead of focusing solely on dance performances.
“Sundown Festival 2013” is a music fest that features performances by rock and pop musicians from all over Asia. Aside from AOA, the festival will include teams from Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand and more.
This performance will be the rookie girl group’s second time in the country after taking the stage in “K-pop Night Out at Music Matters Live 2013,” which featured artists such as Eastern Sidekick, SPICA, M.I.B, and Lena Park.
AOA debuted in July 2012 with EP “Angel’s Story.” The rookie group’s recently released single “Confused” has fared well on Chinese music chart, KUWO, taking the No. 2 spot for hit singles where it stayed for one week.
