서울 강남경찰서는 탤런트 류시원(41)씨가 이혼 소송 중인 부인 조모(32)씨를 무고 등의 혐의로 고소했다고 3일 밝혔다.

경찰 관계자는 "류씨는 자신을 폭행했다는 조씨 주장이 전혀 사실무근이라며 고 소장을 냈다"면서 "사기, 비밀침해, 통신비밀보호법 위반 등 나머지 고소 내용은 사 적인 부분이 많아 공개하기 어렵다"고 말했다.

앞서 조씨는 지난 2월 류씨가 자신에게 손찌검하고 차량에 몰래 위치추적기를 부착했다며 경찰에 고소했고 검찰은 최근 류씨를 불구속 기소했다.

2010년 결혼한 이들은 지난해 3월 서울가정법원에 이혼조정을 신청했으나 조정 단계에서 합의에 이르지 못해 아직 소송 중인 것으로 알려졌다.

류씨는 이혼소송에 전념하기 위해 현재 케이블 채널에서 진행을 맡고 있는 프로그램에서도 하차할 예정으로 알려졌다.

Actor Ryu files countercharge against his wife

A divorce battle between actor Ryu Si-won and his estranged wife has intensified as the couple filed complaints against each other. 

The 41-year-old actor filed a countersuit against his wife, only known by her surnamed Cho, for fraud and privacy violation on Monday. The suit came two weeks after he was accused of allegedly threatening and planting a GPS tracking device on his wife. 

Ryu claimed that Cho violated the Protection of Communications Secrets Act by tapping his phone and recording his telephone conversations without consent.

The 32-year-old Cho sued Ryu in February while the two were going through divorce proceedings, claiming that the actor had threatened her. She filed for divorce last year and the couple is currently undergoing a trial.

The hallyu star reportedly dropped the automobile television show he hosts on a cable channel to focus on the legal battle.
