A U.S. teenager posted a video on YouTube showing her acne-ridden face and shared her beauty techniques to conceal blemished skin with makeup in 10 minutes.
Cassandra Bankson, 19, hesitated for a month before making the decision to expose her face online to help people suffering with the same condition.
The makeup lesson has drawn 7.8 million hits and received great responses from viewers.
Bankson was asked to appear on a television show that gave her a chance to reveal her story.
She confessed that she was bullied at school for her acne and that breakouts are her “biggest insecurity.”
“I got my first pimple in the third grade and it progressively got worse, I had to work out how to deal with it. Posting the video wasn’t an easy thing for me because I thought I was going to get the same hate I got at school over my skin. Then I thought it would be worth it if I could help one person,” she said.
Now Bankson, who is studying to be a nurse, has uploaded other beauty tips videos and writes her own blog. Her dream is to create her own line of skin care products.

뱅크슨은 토크쇼를 통해 단지 아름다워보이기 위한 화장 이상의 속이야기를 털어놨다.
그녀는 피부트러블이 그녀를 가장 창피하고 불안하게 만드는 요소이고 그로 인해 학교에서 따돌림을 당했었다며 “3학년 때부터 여드름이 나기 시작하더니 점점 심해져 어떻게든 대처할 방법을 찾아야만 했다. 비디오를 공개하면 예전처럼 사람들이 나를 싫어할 거라는 생각이 떠나지 않아 나에겐 쉽지 않은 결정이었다”라고 고백했다.
뱅크슨은 현재 간호학을 공부하며 화장법을 소개하는 동영상과 글을 개인 블로그에 지속적으로 게시하고 있다. 또한 그녀는 앞으로 스킨 케어 제품을 제작하고 싶다는 포부를 밝혔다.
