Jason Mraz brings world tour to Busan

Grammy-winning American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz will bring his musical charms to Busan on June 8, said Hyundai Card, which organized the concert.

The American artist will take the stage at BEXCO on Friday, June 8 at 8 p.m. Titled “Hyundai Card Culture Project 06 Jason Mraz in BUSAN,” the event will kick off Mraz’s first world tour since the release of his fourth regular album, “Love is a Four Letter Word,” on Tuesday.

Mraz debuted in 2002 with his first album, “Waiting for My Rocket to Come.” His albums have sold more than 200,000 copies here, placing him among the most popular foreign musicians in Korea.

His musical talent further buoyed his commercial success. His second album “Mr. A-Z” in 2005 peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard chart, and his third album “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.” the No. 3 spot. Mraz’s hit “I’m Yours,” noted for its mellow, bohemian melody, was on the Billboard Hot 100 for 76 weeks, setting a new record. Mraz won two Grammy Awards in 2010 for Best Male Pop Performance for his single “Make it Mine” and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocal for his duet “Lucky” with Colbie Caillat.
