Seoul Fashion Artist Association kicks off the three-day 2012 S/S Seoul Collection on Tuesday at Fluxus Building in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.

Three up-and-coming designers ― Lee Jung-eun, Heo Hwan, Son Sung-keun ― will be presenting their collections along with eight established labels by SFAA designers ― Shin Jang-kyoung, Pak Dong-jun, BAKANGCHI, Rubina, Kim Dong-soon, P+ by Park Youn-soo, Sul Yun-hyoung and KUMANN OH Eun Hwan Designed by Yoo Hye-jin.

“SFAA which has been spearheading Korea’s fashion industry, will continue to expand the horizon with a sense of duty. We will also put in efforts to show new concepts of fashion shows by actively recruiting young and up-and-coming designers and developing experimental stages,” said Shin Jang-kyoung, head of SFAA.

Inaugurated in 1990, SFAA includes major Korean designers such as Jin Teok, Lie Sang-bong, Sul Yun-hyoung and Kim Chul-ung. But the association’s shows have not been part of Seoul Fashion Week for several years now, after the two sides failed to agree on content.

Compared to Seoul Fashion Week, SFAA has been seen as old-fashioned, showcasing only work by veteran designers, who are regarded to be slipping out of touch with young people.

The collection runs through Nov. 10. For more information, visit www.sfaa.co.kr.
