[URGENT] Hyundai Motor president resigns

Hyundai Motor president and co-CEO Yang Seung-suk has resigned for personal reasons and Kim Choong-ho, chief of domestic sales, will take over as new president for the automaker group, the company said on Friday.

Kim, 60, will be in charge of domestic sales, marketing and business strategy, part of what Yang used to run. 

“Yang earlier signaled he would step down due to personal reason, and his resignation is not related to other management or performance issues,” a Hyundai Motor spokesman told The Korea Herald. 


After giving up the post, Yang will work as an advisor for the automaker, the company said.

양승석 사장 건강상 이유로 사임

현대차그룹은 사의를 표명한 양승석 현대차  사장 후임으로 부사장인 김충호(60) 국내영업본부장을 사장으로 승진 발령했다 .

김 신임 사장은 양 사장이 맡았던 국내 및 해외영업 부문에서 국내 판매와 마케 팅, 경영전략 부문을 담당하게 된다.

양 사장은 일신상의 이유로 사의를 표명한 것으로 전해졌으며 현대차 고문으로 위촉됐다.

현대차는 또 김승탁(54) 영업기획사업부 전무를 해외영업본부장 부사장으로  승 진 발령했다.

김충호 신임 사장은 현대차 운영 및 판매지원실장과 기아차 국내영업본 부장(부사장)을 거쳐 현대차 국내영업본부장(부사장)을 역임했다.

김승탁 신임 부사장은 기아차 글로벌경영전략실장과 유럽사업부장을 거쳐  영업 기획사업부장을 지냈다.
