A 22-year-old man in West Virginia, United States, killed five people before committing suicide on Monday after being rejected from military service, the Daily Mail reported.
Shayne Riggleman shot and killed five people including a pregnant woman. Many people were injured including a woman he ran over by a car.
He started the killing spree in West Virginia and stopped when he was finally pulled over by police in Kentucky. He shot and killed himself on the spot.
Riggleman’s last Facebook post before the shooting said that he was upset after getting rejected by the military.
“Why wouldn’t they let me join the military? I’m fully capable, and there was no career for me!” he wrote.
Other recent Facebook posts made by the murderer also portrayed his anger: “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”

셰인 리글맨은 차에 탄 채 총기로 다섯 명을 마구자비로 죽이고 많은 부상자들을 속출했다. 그가 죽인 사람들 중 한 사람은 임신 중이었던 것으로 밝혀져 많은 사람들의 안타까움을 자아냈다.
그의 살인은 버지니아 주에서 켄터키 주까지 이어졌으며 경찰에게 포위당했을 때 자살하였다고 영국의 데일리 메일이 밝혔다.
리글맨은 살인을 하기 전, 페이스북을 통해 군입대를 거부당한 것에 대한 불만을 다음과 같이 표현했다. ‘왜 나는 입대를 못하게 하는 거야? 난 군생활 할 정도의 역량은 충분히 있고, 취업도 안되고 있단 말이야!’
‘복수는 차가운 감정으로 해야 제 맛이다’ 등 그의 페이스북에서 분노를 표현한 다른 글들도 쉽게 찾아 볼 수 있었다.
