A boy was rescued from a game machine on the street after allegedly crawling inside in order to get a prize, according to Hanam Fire Station.

The 10-year-old, only known by his last name Kim, played on a doll machine, which is activated by controlling an artificial grabber with a joystick to grab prizes.

After playing several games by inserting 1000 won (about $1) however, he still could not get what he wanted and decided to go inside through a small opening that was only 70 cm wide and 50 cm tall.

Reported by a pedestrian, the rescue squad broke the machine open and saved Kim.

An official from the fire station said that the machine was sealed and could have suffocated the boy.
