They were among the 140 people caught on charges stemming from 14 corruption cases, the National Police Agency (NPA) said after a four-month nationwide crackdown on irregularities by the local entertainment industry.
Police put five of them under arrest for further probes.
In the detected cases, about 65 percent of the suspects were entertainment agency executives, TV producers and workers for industry interest groups while about 97 percent of the victims were celebrity aspirants, the NPA said.
Also among those booked without physical detention was a top executive of a local cable TV network who allegedly received 150 million won ($142,099) from 10 new singers from 2009 till recently in exchange for helping them appear on the TV channel's show programs, police said. They, however, did not give the name of the cable TV network.
"We conducted an intensive crackdown to combat crimes against celebrity aspirants, who are socially weak," a police official involved in the crackdown said, requesting not to be named.

'돈받고 가요순위조작' 등 연예비리 14건 적발
경찰 4개월간 집중단속해 140명 검거
가요 순위를 조작해주는 대가로 신인가수로부터 금품을 받는 등 연예계의 고질적인 비리가 경찰에 무더기로 적발됐다.
경찰청은 3월17일부터 이달 15일까지 4개월간 연예인 불법행위 집중단속을 한 결과 총 14건을 적발, 관련자 140명을 검거하고 5명을 구속했다고 21일 밝혔다.
인천지방경찰청은 가요순위 검색 인터넷사이트를 운영하면서 순위를 조작해주는 대가로 신인가수로부터 약 4억원을 받는 등의 연예 비리 혐의자(알선 수재 등) 29명을 6월17일부터 한 달간 검거했다.
인천경찰청이 적발한 혐의자 중에는 방송 청탁을 이유로 금품을 주고받은 알선 브로커와 방송사 PD 등도 포함돼 있다.
서울경찰청 광역수사대는 연예인 지망생에게 방송 출연을 약속하며 1억7천만원 상당의 금품을 가로챈 혐의로 연예기획사 전 대표 등 8명을 지난 5월에 붙잡은 바 있다.
경기2청 광역수사대도 연예인 지망생들 119명으로부터 보증금 명목으로 10억여 원을 가로챈 혐의로 기획사 대표를 6월에 검거했다.
4개월 간 적발된 연예계 비리 14건을 유형별로 보면 연예인 지망생을 상대로 금 품을 받거나 기획사와 PD 간 금품을 주고받는 행위, 연예계 협회에서 지급되는 보조 금을 횡령하는 등 사례가 고루 분포했다.
피의자는 기획사나 PD, 협회 등 우월적 지위에 있는 경우가 65%였고 피해자는 연예인 지망생이 97%였다.
재물과 관련된 범죄 유형이 37.8%로 가장 많았고 폭행, 배임, 출입국관리법 위반 등 사례도 있었다.
경찰청 관계자는 "연예인 지망생이라는 사회적인 약자를 상대로 한 범죄행위에 적극 대처한다는 차원에서 집중 단속을 진행했다"면서 "서울과 경기 등 수도권, 부산, 대구, 인천 등 6대 광역시 광역수사대에 마련된 신고센터를 활성화해 연예계 불 법 행위에 대한 수사를 지속 확대할 것"이라고 말했다. (연합뉴스)
