Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin and his Swiss counterpart Ueli Maurer also shared their views on missions and the role of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission, to which Switzerland has dispatched its military delegation for nearly six decades.

The NNSC stationed at the inter-Korean border village of Panmunjeom has contributed to maintaining the armistice agreement signed at the end of the 1950-53 Korean War and entrenching peace on the peninsula.

During his schedule here that ends on Wednesday, he visited the border village, the national cemetery and the United Nations Command. He also met with Unification Minister Hyun In-taek.
