Group to host healthy-living event

June 22, 2011 - 19:00 By Kirsty Taylor
The event will give people the chance to eat Korean ssam and learn easy physical exercises to get healthy ahead of the upcoming hottest summer season.

Ssam is a Korean dish where rice and condiments are wrapped in lettuce, cabbage, sesame leaves, or other greens.

The greens are organically grown by members of Environment Justice. The non-profit organization is holding the event on Monday, July 4 in Seoul’s Mapo-gu area. The event ― to be held on the second floor of Seongsan 1 dong 249-10 from 7p.m.- 9p.m. ― will also give attendees the chance to discuss environmental issues.

The event is free for members of the organization and costs 5,000 won for non-members. Those interested in attending this or other monthly Environment Justice events should contact Yang Seon-Hye on 02-743-4747 or zigy@eco.or.kr and wire 5,000 won to Shinhan Bank 140-002-631767.
