Anseong winery holds tasting tour

June 21, 2011 - 18:27 By Paul Kerry
Kenneth Kim Vineyards is holding a wine event for expats on Saturday at their winery in Anseong, Gyeonggi province.

Using Muscat grapes grown on a local cooperative, the vineyard produces red and white wines, a sherry and a port for the Korean market.

After a short historical tour of a Catholic mission on the way, Kenneth Kim will introduce the wine-making methods he uses. Guests will be able to taste wines there.

A specially prepared lunch will be provided that pairs Korean food with the vineyard’s wines. There will also be a traditional dance performance.

The tour costs 80,000 won and departs from central Seoul at 9:30 a.m. and arrives back at 5 p.m.

You can find more information about the event and the winery at http://www.meetup.com/anseongwine-com/.
