Spanish clubs are looking for chances to bring South Korean football star Park Ji-sung to their league, according to Mirror Football.
Mirror Football reported that the Manchester United star Park is “attracting interest from Spanish outfits Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.”
“Atletico have money to spend with Manchester United-bound David De Gea and Sergio Aguero and Jose Reyes all on their way out of the Estadio Vicente Calderon. And they could even ask United if they can include midfielder Park in the deal which takes De Gea to Old Trafford,” it reported.
Park’s contract expires in June 2012.
Earlier this month, the Telegraph reported that Park is likely to stay with the team he has played with for six years.
“Park is due to open talks over an extension to his deal once the club returns from their pre-season tour of the United States in August,” the Telegraph reported.

The online version of the U.K. newspaper said Park also admitted that he is likely to remain at United having arrived in a 4 million pound ($6.5 million) transfer from PSV Eindhoven in June 2005.
“Manchester United is an important club and I am happy if I’m seen as an important part of the club. In football anything can happen, but I’ve been here six years and I like this club,” Park was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

박지성은 3월에도 햄스트링 부상으로 재활에 몰두하고 있을 때도 바이에른 뮌헨 (독일)과 유벤투스, 라치오(이상 이탈리아) 등의 클럽이 영입에 관심을 보인다는 보 도가 쏟아졌다.
하지만 박지성은 2010-2011 프리미어리그에서 5골 8도움으로 한국인 최다 공격 포인트 기록을 다시 쓰고 맨유의 통산 19번째 리그 우승에 힘을 보태는 등 화려한 한 해를 보내 팀내 입지를 더욱 굳힌 상태다.
이 때문에 영국 일간지 ‘더 텔레그래프’ 인터넷판은 이달 초 “박지성은 2011~20 12시즌 개막 직전에 맨유와 재계약을 논의할 예정”이라며 “박지성은 2년 연장 계약 을 기대할 수 있다”고 보도하기도 했다.
내년 6월 맨유와의 계약이 만료되는 박지성도 맨유와의 재계약을 원하는 만큼 최근 불거진 박지성의 이적설은 ‘설’로 끝날 공산이 크다.
