President Lee Myung-bak on Thursday replaced some of his aides, including senior presidential secretaries for political affairs and public relations.
Rep. Kim Hyo-jae of the Grand National Party was named to succeed Chung Jin-seok as senior presidential secretary for political affairs.
The presidential office also appointed Kim Du-woo, executive presidential secretary for planning and management, to replace senior secretary for public relations Hong Sang-pyo.
Park Jung-ha, a presidential press secretary, was named presidential spokesman.
Kim Hyo-jae, who was a journalist for nearly 30 years at the Chosun Ilbo, served as Lee’s special media adviser in 2007 and was elected to teh National Assembly in 2008.
Kim Du-woo, another former journalist with the JoongAng Ilbo, joined the presidential office in 2008 right after Lee was sworn in.

이명박 대통령은 9일 청와대 정무수석에 김효재 한나라당 의원, 홍보수석에 김두우 청와대 기획관리실장을 내정했다.
기획관리실장에는 장다사로 민정1비서관, 정무 2비서관에는 김회구 인사비서관 실 선임 행정관, 민정1비서관에는 신학수 총무비서관, 대변인에는 박정하 춘추관장 이 선임됐다.
임태희 대통령실장은 이날 오후 청와대 춘추관에서 브리핑을 갖고 이 같은 내용 의 청와대 개편 내용을 발표했다.
이날 청와대 개편에서는 이밖에도 국민권익비서관에 조현수 한나라당 예산결산 위 수석전문위원, 국민소통비서관에 김석원 국민소통비서관실 선임행정관, 시민사회 비서관에 김혜경 여성가족비서관, 춘추관장에 김형준 의전비서관실 선임행정관, 지 식경제비서관에 강남훈 지경부 기후변화에너지 자원개발 정책관, 여성가족비서관에 이재인 여성가족부 여성정책국장이 인선됐다.
또 총무비서관과 정무1비서관은 해당 수석과 협의를 거쳐 추후 임명하기로 했으 며 정책실 인사에 대한 인사는 당분간 하지 않기로 했다. (연합뉴스)
