Daegu bidding to host the 2011 world athletic championships will be evaluated on-site over 4 days from 22nd to 25th February 2007 by IAAF evaluation team. 


This visit will be followed after visiting Brisbane in Australia.
The evaluation team will examine the capabilities in various fields such as social situation, economic position, accessibility to the city, government support, culture and experience in athletics, climate conditions, on-site infrastructure, security, transportation, marketing and promotions and so on. 
 

The bidding committee (the chairman of Jongha Yoo, ex-foreign minister) for the 2011 world athletics championships will present not only the capabilities to host the 2011 world athletics championships but also the tremendous support and enthusiasm for hosting the games. 


The autograph album that contains the signatures of about 700,000 residents who promised to attend the games will be handed to the evaluation team.

The welcoming dinner for the examination team will take place with Myung-gon Kim, the minister of culture and tourism, and about 500 prominent guests at Interbulgo hotel on 23rd February.
