Three photographers of the Washington Post, Carol Guzy, Nikki Kahn and Ricky Carioti, won the Pulitzer Prizes in the breaking news photography for their up-close portrait of grief and desperation after a catastrophic earthquake struck Haiti.

워싱턴 타임즈의 사진기자 3명은 아이티 지진후 참사를 담은 사진으로 퓰리처 상 긴급뉴스사진 부문을 수상했다. 퓰리처상은 매년 뉴욕의 컬럼비아대 퓰리처상 위원회가 수상작을 발표해 왔으며 , 올해로 95주년을 맞는다.
