Culture magazine fundraiser in Hongdae

Feb. 16, 2011 - 21:28 By Paul Kerry
A launch party for the latest issue of bilingual culture magazine Speakeasy will take place at Club Soundholic in Hongdae, Seoul, Friday.
S.A.U.N.N.A. kicks off the event at 9:30 p.m., followed by expat rock band Angry Bear and TAPKUN, a tap dance performance group. There will be half-price drink specials on the night.
Admission is 10,000 won, with all money raised going toward the cost of producing this month’s issue of Speakeasy. The theme of the issue is “Obsession.”
Speakeasy is a cultural project and magazine which, according to its website, “strives to encourage community involvement and a cross-culture dialogue” by publishing prose, poetry and art in English and Korean.
