Feb. 20, 2014 - 11:41 By 신용배

South Korean tech behemoth Samsung Electronics Co. on Thursday launched its latest Android camera at home, expanding its portfolio of electronic gadgets that operate on mobile networks.

The Galaxy Camera 2, which came two years after Samsung released its first Galaxy camera in 2012, can be directly connected to Wi-Fi, allowing users to upload pictures on social media such as Twitter and Facebook.

Samsung said the latest "smart camera" is also equipped with the near-field communication (NFC) technology, which allows wireless data exchanges between two devices in close proximity, further bolstering its connectivity to other smart devices.

The camera features "Tag & Go," a system which allows users to share photos by slightly touching the device with smartphones or tablet PCs.

The camera is equipped with a 4.8-inch touch screen and a 16.3 megapixel back slide illumination CMOS sensor, with numerous features such as "selfies" that make it easier to take photos of oneself. (Yonhap)
