Seo Tai-ji, a singer who is allegedly under a divorce suit with Lee Ji-ah, is a well-known South Korean singer, musician and songwriter.
He had risen as an influential cultural icon in Korea during the 1990s and caused a sensation among teens. He created a dance group called Seo Tai-ji & Boys in 1992, heralding his rise to stardom.
The group’s first single “Nan Arayo (I Know)” was a huge hit, the first of its kind in K-pop history, melding contemporary dance sounds with urban rap lyrics. After leaving from Seo Tai-ji & Boys, Seo returned solo, continuing his career as a rock musician.
Lee Ji-ah, who reportedly filed a divorce suit from Seo, is a South Korean actress who rose to stardom following her debut in the TV series, “The Legend.” Riding on her successful debut, she appeared in “Beethoven Virus,” another huge hit drama in 2008. In 2010, she acted in another hit TV series, “Athena: Goddess of War,” where she performed intense action scenes.
Nothing more has been revealed about Lee Ji-ah apart from the fact that she has lived abroad and received education in the United States. Since not much information has been released about Lee, there are rumors in the internet saying that she may be foreign.
Jung Woo-sung, Lee’s current love interest, is a popular South Korean actor who appeared in the TV series “Athena: Goddess of War” along with Lee Ji-ah in 2010. While co-starring in the drama, the two developed into an intimate relationship. Jung was reported as saying that he did not know about the marriage between Lee and Seo. Netizens are expressing their sympathy for Jung, the apparent victim in the story.
