Korail will open a KTX route between Seoul and Yeosu in South Jeolla Province on Oct. 5. , It will then take up to three hours and 45 minutes to travel from Yongsan Station to Yeosu Expo Station, significantly less than the five hours and 18 minutes on the existing Saemaeul train, Korail said. The first train leaves at 5:40 a.m. from Yongsan Station and 5:10 a.m. from Yeosu Expo Station. The last train leaves at 7:45 p.m. from Yongsan, 6:50 p.m. from Yeosu. A one-way ticket costs 41,700 won from Monday to Thursday and 44,600 won from Friday to Sunday, and on holidays.
