가수 바다가 KBS2 TV “불후의 명곡 - 전설을 노래하다” 에서 이승철의 “소녀시대"를 열창하면서 우승을 거머쥐었다.

이 날, 바다는 기존의 “소녀시대" 리메이크 버젼과는 사뭇 다른 빠른 비트에 관능적인 재즈의 느낌을 가미해 색다를 무대를 보여줬다. 특히 격렬한 안무에도 흔들림 없는 가창력은 좌중을 압도했다.

바다의 무대에 FT Island의 이홍기는 ”한국의 비욘세 같다"며 감탄했고, 1부 우승자 울랄라세션은 ”연륜과 경험의 깊이다. 우리나라 가수가 아닌 것 같았다”고 놀라워했다.

원곡 가수이자 이날 심사위원으로 나선 이승철은 “바다가 데뷔 15년 차 아닌가. 여기서 이러면 안 된다”고 농담을 던지며, “역시 내공은 못 속이는 것 같다. 퍼포먼스까지 노력한 흔적이 보였다. 제 노래를 빛내주셔서 감사하다”고 극찬했다.“

우승 직후 바다는 “무대에 선 것도 기쁜데 우승해서 더 기쁘다. 이수만 선생님, 슈야, 유진아 나 우승했어”라며 전 소속사 대표와 SES 멤버들에게 고마움을 전해 눈길을 끌었다.

Bada heats up stage with cover of ‘Girl’s Generation’

Bada, a member of disbanded girl group S.E.S., rocked the stage with a live cover of a pop classic on Sunday.

The diva sang and danced to veteran singer Lee Seung-chul’s renowned “Girl’s Generation” during her appearance on KBS2’s singing competition program “Immortal Song 2.”

Jazzy and sensual, the song was performed flawlessly by Bada, who boasts 15 years’ experience as a professional singer and musical actress.

The audience was pumped up as Bada roamed around the stage taking off her jacket and encouraging the audience to join her.

Other contestants were left spellbound to see a former idol star perfect the dance moves and high notes. Lee Hong-Ki, a leading vocalist of FT Island, said, “She is Korea’s Beyonce.”

Lee Seung-chul who appeared as a judge expressed how impressed he was, saying, “Thanks for redefining my song in such a remarkable way.”
