
Kimbyungjong Art Museum
The Namwon City Kimbyungjong Art Museum in Namwon, North Jeolla Province, houses works by painter Kim Byung-jong.
The museum touts playful installations by the painter beside canvases using “hanji,” traditional Korean mulberry paper.

Honbul Literary House
In Namwon, North Jeolla Province, the house is a memorial hall for novelist Choi Myeong-hee, best known for the epic “Honbul,” an exploration of womanhood during Japan’s colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula from 1910-45.
The house showcases not only playful figurines demonstrating the period, but works including letters, books and interviews by the late writer. Admission is free and the house is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Mondays.

Garden of Morning Calm lighting
Through Sunday, the Garden of Morning Calm in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, will light up after sunset.
Stroll around the park’s trails and explore elaborate installations that make for memorable photo opportunities.
