The Association of Southeast Asian Nations-Korea Centre will release a video centered on career mentoring for ASEAN students residing in South Korea on Thursday.
As part of their “Hey ASEAN” series, the video aims to help students from ASEAN member countries in Korea explore career opportunities and prepare for employment. Both students and mentors will be featured in the video to answer questions regarding the recruitment process and work life in Korea.
The video will be released on ASEAN-Korea Centre’s YouTube channel.
The ASEAN-Korea Centre also hosted the “ASEAN Youth Career Mentorship program” on Sept. 16. Around 70 students took part in this event to take part in mentoring sessions with previous students currently employed in Korea. The students were also invited to listen in on lectures that covered information about employment in Korea and career exploration strategies by professor Rhee Nam-uh from Yonsei University, director Ahn Sung-hee from KOTRA and Melissa Ruru from Daewoong Foundation.
The ASEAN-Korea Centre is an intergovernmental organization that promotes cooperation between Korea and ASEAN countries in the economic, social and cultural fields. The organization has hosted career mentorship programs for students who wish to be employed in Korea after graduating in 2017.
