Suga, who received the Order of Cultural Merit along with other BTS members, was eligible for a deferral of enlistment until the end of 2023. If he cancels the deferral, he will receive his enlistment notice within approximately 3 months.

Suga will be the third BTS member to fulfill his military obligation. Previously, the eldest member Jin enlisted in December 2022, and J-Hope enlisted in April 2023, each serving their military duties.

Before his enlistment, Suga released his solo album "D-Day" in April, which achieved global success by reaching 2nd place on the Billboard 200 chart. He also wrapped up a successful solo world tour concert recently.
